We are extremely fortunate to work with some outstanding local guides, taking great care to ensure we can book our guests with the best of the best.
To highlight this we’ve added a little information about some of the guides you may meet on your Armstrong Fortescue safari in the Arctic, Asia or Africa.
Never be afraid to make a specific guide request when going on a trip, we will always endeavour to accommodate them and it can make your trip that little bit more special.

Anderson Kayle
Tanzania
Will met Anderson in 2023 when creating his latest print collection and was blown away by his dedication, often being the one driving Will to stay out later “just in case”.
A guide for Asilia Africa, one of our favourite East African operators, Anderson’s usually found guiding in the Serengeti in search of big cats.
Will says he has never laughed so much on a single safari and we know with full confidence any safari with Anderson is one well spent. We’d recommend him in a heartbeat.

Behzad Larry
Asia
The word expert is used liberally these days but when it comes to photography in this complex part of the world there is no one better placed.
Behzad believes he may have the most extensive snow leopard image collection ever created from his work across the Himalayas, taken by hand and with high-tech camera traps.
Be it tigers, snow leopards, people or landscapes Behzad is exceptionally placed to deliver a first rate safari.

Eric Ole Kalama
Amboseli
When we first started working in Amboseli back in 2020, Eric was our first guide. For a decade he worked for Dr. Cynthia Moss, one of the world’s leading elephant researchers before guiding at the renowned Tortilis Camp for a further 10 years.
In 2017 he began guiding privately, from his own photography adapted Land Rover and in 2022 launched his camp, Elephant Garden.
His understanding of elephant behaviour is unrivalled and has seen him responsible for all of Will’s best selling elephant images in Amboseli.

Kyle Branch
Lower Zambezi, Zambia
Kyle’s background and experience in wildlife and tourism make for an intriguing profile. Hailing from Tzaneen, near the Kruger National Park, he grew up with a close connection to the wilderness. His childhood explorations in the Kruger and its surrounding areas likely laid the foundation for his passion for wildlife.
Having moved to Zambia in 2012 after his years guiding for &Beyond, he helped design Zambia's National Guide Training Program further highlights his dedication to the development and professionalisation of guiding in the country.
Above all Kyle’s safaris are fun and informative. Ensuring you learn as much as you enjoy. Two priceless elements of any safari.

Moira La Patourel
Svalbard
With over a decade of guiding experience with guests, film crews and even working on PHD projects in bear behaviour Moira has been with us on all our Svalbard adventures and we cannot imagine going there without her.
We are yet to find a question about bear behaviour she does not know the answer to, even if we try and catch her unaware while she’s driving a zodiac through ice float filled water.
